Since my introduction to the growing world of dynasty leagues, fantasy football has truly become a year-round obsession searching for dynasty sleepers. The day after the fantasy season ends, I start thinking about sleepers to target in my rookie drafts in May. After my rookie drafts and during the season, I scour the waiver wire each week looking for sleepers. Some of these players can help your fantasy team right away. Some of these players might take 2-3 years to [...]

PICKUP OF THE WEEK DeAndre Levy – MLB, Detroit Lions This one’s a bit speculative, but after missing the first two games and posting a meager 2 solos in his return to action panicky owners (or those staring into the 0-3 abyss) may have cut Levy loose. He didn’t move well, admits he’s not 100% yet and missed some tackles last week, but you have to think that can be at least partially attributable to rust and/or apprehension (all reports [...]

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the Browns placed inside linebacker D’Qwell Jackson on injured reserve Saturday, ending his 2010 season. The 26 year old Jackson missed 10 games in 2009 with a torn pectoral muscle before suffering the same injury (on the other side) in training camp this year. The Ball Says: The move is a surprise, as all indications had been that Jackson was making progress and reportedly targeting a Week 4 return to action, and leaves IDP [...]

All right folks, I’ve got the chicken locked in the basement where he belongs, so let’s all slowly back away from the ledge (that 0-2 one can get pretty narrow) and take a look at the Week Three recommendations. START Mathias Kiwanuka – DE, NYG (at TEN): I don’t know that we’ll see a lot of the “Big Base” subpackage where Kiwi lines up at LB against Light Blue Jesus and the Titans, but after watching the Steelers wreak havoc [...]

PICKUP OF THE WEEK Daryl Smith – OLB, Jacksonville Jaguars Through two games it’s been Smith, and not the more-heralded Kirk Morrison, who’s been the IDP LB to own in Jacksonville, as his 24 tackles, interception, sack, and forced fumble place him fourth among linebackers in Default IDP Manor Scoring after Week 2. That sort of torrid pace likely isn’t sustainable, especially on the strong side, but it’s not unheard of for 4-3 SLB to be fantasy-relevant, Smith is a [...]

After seeing Mr. Davenport’s “recommendations” for Week 1 (that was a steamer of an article) I have, as a public service to you, John (or Jane) Q. Reader, tasered the moron, locked him in my trunk (don’t worry, I made some air holes for him afterward…with my .30-30), and usurped control of IDP Start/Sit for Week Two. So, let’s get to it. START Kroy Biermann – DE, Atlanta Falcons (vs. AZ): Should improve on a so-so Week One showing (although [...]
