PICKUP OF THE WEEK Rolando McClain – MLB Oakland Raiders The presumptive top rookie selected in IDP drafts this past summer, McClain’s preseason was filled with promise and potential. Unfortunately, the opening half of his first NFL campaign was filled with one frustratingly crappy box score after another, leading many redraft owners to cut bait on the underperforming youngster. However, the light may finally have come on at the Casa Rolando, as McClain had by far his best game of [...]

Since my introduction to the growing world of dynasty leagues, fantasy football has truly become a year-round obsession searching for dynasty sleepers. The day after the fantasy season ends, I start thinking about sleepers to target in my rookie drafts in May. After my rookie drafts and during the season, I scour the waiver wire each week looking for sleepers. Some of these players can help your fantasy team right away. Some of these players might take 2-3 years to [...]

PICKUP OF THE WEEK Scott Shanle – OLB, New Orleans Saints Not many 3-Down linebackers have as low an IDP profile as Shanle, but the weakside backer for the defending champs had a big day in the Saints win over Seattle Sunday, racking up 12 tackles and forcing a fumble. That’s almost certainly Shanle’s ceiling, but he has had 25 tackles over his past three games and has a decent matchup this week with Dallas on Turkey Day (giving you [...]

START Chris Clemons – DE, SEA (at NO): When you’re DL6 in Default IDP Manor Scoring through nine games (as Clemons is) you’re in the lineup regardless of matchup. Richard [...]

PICKUP OF THE WEEK Nic Harris – OLB, Carolina Panthers When Dan Connor was lost to a season ending injury, forcing Jon Beason to move back to MLB, it was Harris who stepped aboard the Panthers’ merry-go-round on the weakside, and the third year pro has performed admirably, logging 18 total tackles and half a sack in two games (one start). Harris leaves the field in passing situations, which limits his upside a bit, but after an 8 solo day [...]

It’s week ten, and whether you’re cruising, scrambling, or crying into your beer here are the IDP recommendations. START Ray Edwards – DE, MIN (at CHI): Finally got off the schnide in Week Nine, and gets to face the only team in the league (Chicago), that’s allowed more sacks than Minny’s opponent last week has. Stylez G. White – DE, TB (vs. CAR): No Deangelo Williams, No Johnathan Stewart, hell No Matt Moore. Just the Bucs teeing off on Jimmy [...]
