John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports that Mario Williams, who played defensive end in the Texans’ 4-3 defense a year ago, will shift to outside linebacker in new Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips’ 3-4 in 2011. The 6’6″, 295 pound Williams, who had 28 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and a forced fumble in an injury-plagued 2010, will become the largest linebacker in the history of the NFL.
