In yet another blow to a New York defense already reeling from injuries Giants middle linebacker Johnathan Goff will miss the entire 2011 season after tearing his ACL, according to a report in the Newark Star-Ledger. In something of a surprise, the Nashville Tennessean reports that the Tennessee Titans have named Jason McCourty a starter at cornerback, relegating second year pro Alterraun Verner to a reserve role. The 22 year old Verner started 12 games for the Titans in 2010, tallying 101 tackles, a forced fumble, three interceptions, and 11 passes defensed.
